Most people I know have a favourite sports team and sometimes they follow more than one. For me I support the Cardiff City ‘Bluebirds’ football club which I started watching with my dad in the late 1960s. Also – and with equal passion – I follow the Wales national football team home and away. Whilst ‘on tour’ with the Welsh fans, I’ve been struck by the variety of kits from different seasons that are on display.
Here are a few kits I’ve snapped over the years. The Kitz ‘n’ Pix gallery is started by a helpful contribution of Welsh shirt designs sent to me by Wales fan Rhys Gerallt Owen.
Relief for Tim Lewis and Tim Evans as Wales draw 0:0 in Brussels and take a step towards qualifying for Euro ’16. Tim Evans is wearing both his Welsh and Red Wings colours.
Wales v Hungary in Cardiff. Victory saw Wales qualify for Euro ’20 although at that moment, we had no idea of how the world and sport were about to change!
